I am increasingly wanting to get a Bluetooth keyboard for use on the iPad, and any other tablet I might get, as well as my laptop and desktop - the desktop doesn't have bluetooth so support for a dongle is also a big deal.

Advice on possible devices. Price is for me a big deal firstly it is the broke factor and the willingness to sell out on an accessory issue. The major must is: (1) that the keyboard must be comfortable to type full length documents on, it doesn't need to be ergonomic although it can be; (2) it must seamlessly support multiple devices - best case scenario is that it is paired to the devices and I switch on the keyboard.

I bought my dad the Logitech bluetooth keyboard. It works well, isn't that expensive (around R700 iirc) and it also works on my cellphone, and thus probably other devices too. It's made for the iPad 2 and 3 though.
The only problem with these smaller keyboards is that they are small. I can type on it, but my hands are just a tad too big for it.

R700 isn't too badly priced but the size is a big thing. It doesn't need to be uber portable - I mean being bluetooth its wireless and I want to move it about the house but it doesn't need go travelling.

Hi,

I bought one from www.celltime.co.za for R300.00, it works on the Ipad and Galaxy Tab. They also have a leather cover with a built in Bluetooth keyboard for R399.00

Check them out, their prices are not bad, and they got a good range for Ipad and Galaxy Tab.

The one from Cell Time is a very nice size and comfortable to type on. I tested it on Ipad and Galaxy Tab, but I think it should work on other devices.

The Celltime stuff looks promising, the laser route is specifically out not only because of the price but also I want a keyboard that I type on. I was giving the whole thing some thought before and am wondering whether there is software that allows my netbook to act as a bluetooth keyboard -basically I am imagining a program which I run on my laptop which uses the bluetooth adapter to emulate as a bluetooth keyboard.
