bluetooth dongles keep burning out

Yes they keep burning out after 3-4 months of use.Is this normal cause i have bought 6 since last year...those 80 rand ones.

is there no stronger ones out there that will last at least 1 year.I normally have a dongle plugged in all the time.

I bought a Gigabyte bluetooth dongle for R100 2 years ago and it's always plugged into my pc AND it has not died yet

Have you physically check the USB output or have you relied on faulty motherboard reporting?

Its very common for USB ports to go faulty. From my techie days I would have advised you to get a new mother board. For so many dongles to go indicates a mother board issue.

i think the main issue is that they are cheap ones.The msi one i had that could search devices up to 100m worked for2 years ,that was quality.You see i use my phone as a modem and its connected all the time sometimes for 20 hours non stop.

Or get a usb hub. Will be cheaper than a new motherboard.
