I have two newish TV's, both after 2011. I want to use cordless headphones (age affecting my hearing!), and understand they use bluetooth technology. The question is are the TVs equipped to emit bluetooth signals. The newest one is a so called Smart TV by Samsung. I have looked at the manuals, and find no mention of bluetooth. A UK friend feels that all recent TVs have the facility. Does any one here know?

If not, can you fit some sort of device to give bluetooth capability? I don't want dangling wires at all.

It has been suggested that the use of bluetooth equipment could mean that the TV sound would be disabled. As my wife is not deaf, that could be a problem, if it happened. I suspect that fitting a bluetooth device to gave bluetooth capability could have that effect, just as can happen with wired microphones.

Right now I need the sound level too high for my wife's comfort, so I have a problem!
