Hi guys,

I'm looking to swap my Xbox for a PS3 purely for it's bluray capabilities. However I've only got a 2494HS, so would bluray be any good on it seeing that it's a relatively small screen size compared to TV's?

Thanks :)

Looks great on my "BRAND NEW" 24" 2494HS.

Just get an HDMI/HDMI cable too.

Download a 1080P 1 minute long clip and see for yourself. I personally wouldn't bother watching a movie on a screen that size.

i believe even @ 32" its not very noticeable you need a larger screen to see the benefits.

Depends on how close to the screen you sit. If you're using your 24 inch as a PC monitor, you will see a difference - if you sit close to it - you'll get an iMax like look. If you're sitting far away like in a normal living room - don't bother.

As a rule of thumb, you'll discern 1080p at 3.5x screen height max. So sit within that distance and you'll see the difference, measure it out if you will.

Ive got the 2333 Sammy.
Waiting to move before I set everything up with a nice new LED TV on the wall etc.
To be honest, a DVD looks pretty good and the Blu Ray is amazing however its not worth it in my opinion.
