BMW 320i E90 Leather care

Good day guys, I would like to know your views on BMW 320i E90 Leather care, products that I can find easily at a mall, ie Games, Pick n Pay etc. I saw a product called Wynns Leather Care Cream, is that sufficient?

otherwise anything you use on a leather couch should be good enough;

Nah, those are only good for the leather in a BMW e46

See if you can find Smart Leather. I know chemical guys stock it. Extremely good product

The only car care brand you should be using is Meguiar's, don't settle for anything less.

Wynns or Meguirs are just fine.

However don't expect a miracle. Over people see wear on their seats and then thing the "care" will magically reverse that...it won't.

how many tubs of dubin would u need? :wtf: sounds like alot of work!

You don't use copious amounts. A 200g jar should give you 5 or 6 applications. But the key is the leather must be hot from the sun. The dubbin gets very soft and plyable when its warm (imagine a hand lotion) and really soaks into the leather. Works like a charm on the leather gear boot as well. NOT for dashboards !!

I've been advised against using Dubbin on car seats as it thins the leather and it's manufactured and treated differently to say shoes or clothing.

Ah ok. I've used it previously on my E46 and my A4. Currently use it on my OPC (except the alcantara) and on my bike seats. And I've not had issues. I'm not expert tho. Perhaps err on the side of caution then. I like that its smell is subtle but long lasting and it doesn't leave the leather oily. And imo the leather feels more supple.

AFAIK only the E30 had the Auxiliary Fuel Tank. I believe with the E46 onwards it was removed in the interest of weight saving & maintaining that 50/50 weight distribution.

True, also without the auxiliary fuel tank it us of utmost importance to look after the leather of the car.
