BMW Double VANOS

Hi Guys

I have a friend with a 1999 BMW E46 323i who is looking a new Double VANOS.

We have found a few, but they're ridiculously expensive, does anybody have any ideas where the best place to find one would be?

Or a place that can recondition one?

Vanos units are expensive though. Had mine replaced at R12k which was covered by my 3rd party warranty.
