My 2006 320i is nearly 100 000km. What preventative maintenance and services should I perform?

Its also left with 3 000Km to service, what type of service am looking at taking it for? :p

If there are other things you guys may have done when you hit 100k or that anyone can think of I should do can I get some suggestions? ;)

I assume your motorplan has expired. Where are you going to have your vehicle serviced? BMW Dealership or another workshop? Where are you based?

I have a 2006 323i. Mileage on about 105000km. Motorplan expired last year. Went for a service to a BMW Dealership last month. My advice is be careful about what they replace. They so used to replacing parts like crazy under motorplan, that they do the same after the motorplan is expired. They replaced parts which did not need to be replaced as it was replaced last year May. Only realised after  Make sure you ask to see your old parts. Even if you don't take it with you. Check it to see it needed to replaced. I've learnt the hard way, that you can't trust anybody even a BMW Dealership.

I'll be taking my car to Technospec in Ormonde for the next service.

Thanks Boris and Turbo,

Yes the M/Plan expired. I am based in MIDRAND, i have been servicing the car at a Workshop all along but for this kind of service i am thinking of taking it to a BMW Dealership . Still weighing my options though cause at the end of the day, the quote will help me make my decision.

My Workshop told me i am looking at about 2.500 to replace the plugs and do normal service. I am waiting to hear from BMW then will decide where to take it...

Thanks

Apologies, I didn't realise the motor plan had expired.

In my experience, taking your BMW to a dealership doesn't necessarily result in better maintanence. If you trust the "Workshop", I'd stick with them.

+1
Took my Merc to Mercedes for a quote for a major service, they told me between 5 -8k, took it to Koops in Voortrekker weg, they charged me 1.5 for a full major service and they gave me all the old parts they replaced
Just make sure the service Centre is a RMI approved Centre
