Hi all,

I have this problem where my Airbag and Seatbelt warning light comes on after washing my car (guess they bump the cables under the seat). This happens quite often unfortunately (I've doubled checked, the cables are securely fastened under the seat). Resetting the lights fixes the issue until someone bumps the cables again, but resetting the lights cost me about R300 each time.

Now I'm looking to buy a diagnostic tool to do this myself in the future, but have no Idea which ones are capable of resetting the lights, and don't want to pay an arm and a leg. I will be buying from Amazon preferably.

I drive a 2006 BMW E90 320D. Can someone recommend me a diagnostic tool for about ~$50.

No, but I can recommend you get a competent mechanic to address the actual problem. You are literally sitting on a powder keg.

It's not that common, happened like 3-4 times in the 7 years that I have the car, but still cost money each time I want to reset it. It only happens when someone tries to force things under the seat, and hooks the airbag cable in the process.

Cool. I will try and contain my laughter when the airbag goes off for no reason.

Good luck. How did Forest Gump put it? Stupid is as stupid does?

Get an ELM370, plugs into your OBD II port and connects to your phone via bluetooth. You will need to download Torquepro from the play store though. You can read and reset fault codes with it,

Cool, will look into it.
