The body of a 21-year-old man was found outside a school in Tafelsig, Cape Town, on Monday, Western Cape police said.
The body was found by passers-by, said Captain FC van Wyk.
"He had sustained several bullet wounds to his body and was declared dead by paramedics," Van Wyk said.
No arrests had yet been made.
