Boeing unmanned plane has fifth flight

I'm totally OK with unmanned cars & planes - delighted in fact. Not so sure about unmanned cars & planes surrounded by manned cars & planes though...thats the part that freaks me out.

I can see an AI cope with other AIs and even other responsible drivers...but the baboons piloting some of the taxis in SA...no chance. The AI by necessity needs to make some assumptions...and a drunk baboon in a taxi barreling down the wrong side of the road with sketchy brakes is probably not among those assumptions.

And yes I had a bad experience with a taxi today in case you were wondering...

Luckily their are no taxis at 60000 feet...I hope. ;)

Dude...read some of the flight reports of the asian airlines. They've got this honour thing going...so the junior will rather shut up than let his senior pilot know he is fcking up. Not talking isolated incidents here there are literally studies about this...and airlines rolling in US staff to teach asian people to speak up or people die....screw honour rules.

Kinda sad imo. Personally I find that "man the f up" applies to 99% of the situations where lives are at stake.
