Hi guts

A buddy of mine wants to do boilermaking, but I not so clued up on the training institutions,

I know that Northlink College in Bellville does boilermaking, but his a bit strap on cash ATM. Is there any other place anyone recommend that is good and where you can pay off the money. Or do you think they are the best to go to. Transport is also an issue with him as he does not own a car.

Be very very very careful.

You get 2 types of Boilermaking qualifications. I can't recall which is which but one is where you did the apprenticeship. The other is where it just shows you can do the work required (Short course). Most companies DO NOT employ that later ;)

Think it's N18 and N14 or something, the 2 different qualifications. It seems like nothing but it's a massive difference.

Edit: Section 13 and Section 18, those are the 2 different ones.

If he does an apprenticeship then I'm fairly sure he will not have to pay in. The SETAs are desperate for apprentices

Try calling the MERSETA in Bellville and asking them
