Howzit guys

i just got boishock installed everything works, sound in the menus and on startup of games but then no sound in actual game play?? any ideas, sounds are all on 10, in options...

please help not so fun without sound

maybe install BIOSHOCK, BOISHOCK has sound issues .. lol , just kidding.. Never had the problem before. Maybe try this

1 - Right click the game icon on your desktop and select "Properties"

2 - Go to he "Compatibility" tab

3 - Select the checkbox to use compatibility mode, this will enable the greyed out field to be changed

4 - Select "Windows XP SP2" compatibility mode

5 - Save changes, exit, and enjoy Bioshock wih sound

get latest patches and drivers if you haven't.

rerun dx nov 2007 setup, some games "breaks" vista's dx installation when it installs its verson from the dvd.

have vista 64b, sp1 - i would give it a try and see what happens but im to damn lazy to install it

working fine in my vista without compatability things.

clean install - 1.1 update - latest gpu drivers == sound and every thing.

I also installed it. Have sound but almost no graphics. Everything is white

i had the same error with running FEAR

had to install a new codec pack

The game is over rated,1st the so called special gun modifyablility is meager to minimal,2nd its DX10 textures look exactly the same as DX9 yet the FPS drops...3rd The living unscripted world as they put it,seems very sctripted seeing as nothing happens till you make a move... example: the beginning where a man bangs a door for a woman on the other side to open up,will repeat till he detects you... and finaly the powers are very basic considering it was a good idea gone to waste,could have done so much better with it...My Rating ... 4\10
