Early days yet but some interesting points raised here regarding selection and quota players

Too true about Danie, he is a good player, but speed is a factor at 8th man. It all depends on your game plan.

Luke Watson is a oddball case. He has been chosen under the "quota" flag. And the way the good old government came to this is :- Luke's dad (Cheeky Watson) was a anti-apartheid activist, and left playing at the "whites only" clubs and played on the dirt tracks with the players of colour. Which is a noable gesture, with huge backlash. Luke has played Craven week since he was in stardard 8, i would know i played against him. Back then he was built alot like Daniel Keegan of the Sharks. Lighting on the ball, and now he's lighting on the ball with a 100Kg frame.

I'm puzzled by the who quota system though. If a child started playing rugby from about the age of 6 in 1994, that would say put him at 20 now. Why not choose the guys on merrit.(JP Petersen, Waylon Murray, Hilton Loberts, Chillibooi Ralapeli to name a few) Bringing politics into sport is a no no.

Just my opinion.
