Hello I need some advice!

MY mother revived a Bold 9870 from her work as a work phone(I now know that the employer does not handle breaks and / or repairs once the phone is in your hands its your problem), because she has no use for a Blackberry I took the phone which is a MTN branded one (MTN LOGO on startup), I started using the phone on my vodacom simcard and everything worked well for a few months until a few minutes ago while listening to music my screen suddenly turned white, I removed the battery several times and tried a reboot with another sim card and the screen was still white. This is DEFINITELY a phone fault (-no errors -just a white screen on startup) Did not drop or mishandle the phone, white screen all on its own.

Now my question is where should I go for repairs, Does the phone have warranty or something with Blackberry/RIM or does the warranty/repair or something lie with MTN ( MTN branded Bold 9870) or can I take it to Vodacom(my network provider) who will then send it to RIM/BB?

Or any other advice/tips on what to do next would be nice.

The same thing happened to my 9780 a few months back, turned out to be a hardware error, the screen goes completely white, slightly pressing on the lcd just below the speaker makes it come on for a while then it happens again. I took mine back to MTN high volume repair centre just off allandale road in midrand, they swapped it out within 24 hours. You will need proof of purchase though. Hope this helps..
