Bombshell Claim: Scientists Find "Man-made Climate Change Doesn't Exist In Practice"

ONE decent volcano going off injects more crap into the atmosphere than 20 000 years of us creepy crawlies can do.

Tax the Volcano.
Bejasys, any excuse by governments to ****usallinthearse.

That's an interesting one. The volcanoes on earth are actually enough to throw us into a volcanic winter. Yellowstone itself could annihilate us. But everybody seems to ignore these inconvenient facts.

Dictionary seems to indicate both are correct and they're used interchangeably.

No, not at all the same:
"Anthropologic
noun. the science that deals with the origins, physical and cultural development, biological characteristics, and social customs and beliefs of humankind"
"Anthropogenic
adjective. caused or produced by humans"

@Gingerbeardman . It may be more interesting to ask, what does it matter and how do we go about fixing it? If it is indeed the environment causing it and not humans, should we and could we go about somehow fixing it?

The pertinent question is whether it's really a bad thing. Parts of Europe that couldn't previously are now producing wine. It's more about our propensity to be averse to change. We function better in environments that don't change and our brain reflects this by undergoing physical changes as we learn so we don't learn easily and struggle to unlearn what we know. That's the main reason we see climate change as this big boogieman.

The great irony here is that even if we could reverse it the measures being proposed will cripple those most vulnerable to it and would still not be enough. As usual this is a case of the rich countries bullying the poor for the sake of protecting their financial investments.

Two kinds of people.
Those that think CO2 is pollution and those that don't.

Can everybody just stop keeping this inane bollocks alive. Ignore it. Please. I'm sick of seeing it come up in the recently updated list.

This thread should have been moved into the off-topic forum long ago. Please report it to the moderators if you feel strongly about it.

87 Percent of Americans Unaware There's Scientific Consensus on Climate Change

The discussion around the OP was long enough. If you extend this thread topic, it will go on forever...

At what level? Current or above 1250ppm?
I don't know. I don't carry anything on me capable of measuring that. Maybe someone should create an app for how dirty is the air?

If enough people burn shît that makes the air dirty that is pollution. In real simple terms.

I'm not sure you can just divorce the CO2 from all the other stuff and count it alone if you are talking about pollution.

Yes, air quality isimportant. CO2 is a clear gas that doesn't add or subtract much in terms of air quality at these levels.

In the last 100 years of fossil fuel driven activity, we've released about as much energy as the Earth gets from a month of sunlight.

Believing that climate change is driven by CO2 is a nice dream in a way, because although there is a problem, it's a problem we made and at least in theory we can exert enough energy to reverse it. But if humans aren't driving it, well, there is prayer I suppose, because the energy we can harness against the climate is like throwing a snowball at an avalanche.

Religion and faith are wonderful things, but don't bring them to a science thread

As much as you anti-religion people try and force the issue, the two are forever inextricably linked due to the fact that humans are involved.
