Bonus Airtime

Well I recharged this morning and received bonus airtime but I can't buy data with it. Does anybody know how to use it for data?

According to their call center agents this can only be used to make Cell C to Cell C calls and sms. This is so useless fook very much Cell C.

It can be used for data I think that you will be charged the normal rate of 99c per megabyte.

So a R20 recharge will be equal to 40MB data as the supercharge bonus. It is kinda nice and with the R120 you get R360 bonus airtime which is about 363MB of data if you choose to use it for data only.

The only BAD thing is the validity period which is a max of 7 days.... Yeah it sucks to be honest and is just as bad as MTN and Vodacom.

Interesting cause I did not know that.... Very low move from them then. Make the expiry so fast and make it that it gets consumed AFTER your data bundle.... That is a very low blow considering that they are technically the most expensive provider with 99c per minute....

Yeap I'm sittin here with R60 bonus airtime I have no use for. A really low blow by Cell C

I've got the 3Gb/365days voucher on my phone already. So the old supercharge was a waste for me.

I prefer the minutes and SMS with this supercharge promotion. More talk time on Cell C to Cell C calls.

If this doesn't work for you, recharge with R50 next time and use the old supercharge promo. It's still available.

Yes it is, on the Telkom More Calling Plan. There has always been a catch.

Calling with "Bonus Airtime" is charged at at R1.90 per minute. Once bonus airtime has been used up or expired, calls cost 95c per minute.

You can't buy data bundles with their Bonus Airtime either.
