So, thanks to Crusader and his 25% off coupon for Fictionwise, I'm spending way too much money.

But still, I'd like to make use of it while I can, so, any book recommendations? I've already trawled through the old "Books, books, books" thread.

My suggestions:
A stranger in a strange land - Robert Heinlein
Cat's cradle - Kurt Vonnegut
Night's dawn trilogy - Peter F Hamilton (this one is available in ebook format as a single volume. GREAT value for money, get it now!)

Non-fiction:
The greatest show on earth - Richard Dawkins
The selfish gene - Richard Dawkins
Your inner fish - Shubin

this will only get merged. the new addition to the hitchhikers guide.

That's disappointing. I find the large threads a bit unwieldy, especially since I'm the only one who seems to view the forum in hybrid mode :p

I heard the new addition isn't as funny as Douglas Adams?
