You may have receievd a notification already in Windows 10 if you have Windows 10 installed through bootcamp (through Apple Software Update facility); the problem I am having, is that when I try to download this update (alongisde the other iTunes and QuickTime updates), it keeps giving me an error, like as if there is download "fatigue"--not sure if this is a bandwidth issue or just a problematic download from the server side.
When I restart the download, it start from beginning of the download--the download is over 1GB size!

Before this, I was on Windows 8.1, and I could just go to the Apple bootcamp website (download page) and download a standalone zip file for the mac hardware I have. Is there a way to get this bootcamp 6 update for Windows 10 as a standalone install. This way I can also use the same download on my other machines, instead of eating off my data each time (I have 3 mac hardware that are dual booting off bootcamp).

Can you point me in the right direction? Many thanks.

PS: I have searched on web but all results point to "embeded" updates, and no standalone version. Also, if you know where the Apple updates are temporarily stored on my machine during and after the Apple Software updates it self, would also make it easier to find these large downloaded updates.

Update: I decided to install Windows 10 through Bootcamp using a USB; during this process the action downloaded all the Windows updated drivers onto the USB in folder "Bootcam"--now i have a standalone set f drivers which I can use on other Mac hardwares I have running Windows through bootcamp

I installed Windows 10 64bit the day before they updated the drives for bootcamp. This was 7 days ago and still advent been able to download the update, it keeps giving error. So might just do the install from over again if I can't get it to work today.

I tried using the Insider Preview Build 10074 to install using Bootcamp on my MBA 2014 model. Always crashes. Then I tried installing it with the Parallels 14 day demo. Still giving errors. Is there another iso I can download that will work?

Thanks and apologies in advance for the slight hijack.

Well, I can't see how else to get the Bootcamp Windows 10 drivers v6.0 (There is no standalone bootcamp v6.0 out there), without actually installing Windows 10 through the Bootcamp process in Mac OS X, and creating a external USB installation media for Windows. That is what I did to get the Windows drivers updated to bootcamp v6.0 for Windows 10.
