Boot Camp, or any other better options

I need to install Cyberlink Powerdirector 10 on my Mac, should I use Bootcamp or are there better options for my MBP?

If you have the original install CD's / DVD's of a Microsoft operating system, you could always run Windows inside of OS X via a virtual machine.

I run Oracle's VirtualBox ( Which is free ) , for Windows XP / Vista / 7 and Ubuntu.

Personally I think it's a crying shame when I see Apple machines running Windows natively. Cannot grasp the concept ...

Yup, if you have money to spend, you can buy vmware or parallels.

Virtualbox does the same thing as the above two and it's free.

I am currently running a bootcamp with windows 8 on my macbook pro 2010 2.66GHz - 4GB RAM.

It runs like a dream. I use OS X as my main OS, and work a lot with media and the like in there.
Switching to windows takes less than a minute, when I feel like playing some steam games or something.

honestly, bootcamp would be my choice. I have seen too many systems buckle under the weight of running two OS's at the same time.

For video editing like that I would recommend Boot Camp, Virtualization is good but doesn't offer the performance of Boot Camp.

Of course you can create virtual machines with VMWare player!

Virtualbox is good, not as fast as Parallels or VMWare Fusion though. Virtualization is quite impressive in performance, but for video editing, the slowdown will be quite noticeable compared to native (Boot Camp). It depends on what you're going to do, if you just want to use the app lightly, virtualization is a good solution.

Yes, I didn't read the part correctly about what the OP wanted to do.

If you are going to run anything that requires graphics power, then VM's are out.
