Howsit guys, ive noticed something strange happening on my pc lately. So i sometimes reboot my pc with my iPod still plugged in and the bios gets stuck on boot from CD...when i unplug iPod it carries on booting fine. Thats not the issue however, its started doing the same thing if my flash drive is plugged in- it never used to do that before? Again removing the flash drive makes it carry on booting. . . Its slightly annoying. Anyone know whats up? Running XP Pro SP3

I also have this problem sometimes. Only happens once in a while though.

Happened to myself once or twice as well.

In the bootup menu (BIOS settings) look for a setting which says "boot from other device" and disable it. That should fix your problem.

I fiddle around when i get home later and let you know if i have success. Thanks guys

Yeah, doesn't have anything to do with your service pack but rather bios. Definitely way to go.

Your mobo can obviously boot from a USB device, and is painstakingly scanning your iPod on boot to see if there's boot code on it.
