Boot issue - having to press F1

You sure it's not your CMOS battery died and can't save BIOS settings, thus prompt to load default everytime with F1? Because this is usually what caused F1 prompt during boot, especially you got a second hand MB, right?

I see. Just watch out for + and - when you connect your audio and usb. Although these pins and cables should be standardised.

Have you checked in BIOS for the "Halt on" option? Usually thats linked to pressing F1 (You can set most to halt on no keyboard etc), just try turn it off. Hope that helps

You can check if there is a jumper you can set on your board to disable those (front audio and usb). Also check the battery as stated above. Which BIOS are you using?

Do you know what your motherboard is? Could help to search for problems with that. Failing that can you tell us what type of BIOS it is, like Award or AMI BIOS
