I have an OCZ agility 4 128gb as my boot drive and to run key programs , games etc. I've configured my OS to store documents , downloads etc on my 2tb internal thats used as storage. So only the files that i specify gets stored on the ssd. However I recently noticed my ssd space goes down by a few hundred mb a day, yet I dont store anything on it. Could it be temp files taking up the space? Or anything else I should look at?

Do you have AVG installed? I have once seen AVG filling up a drive like this. I cannot remember exactly where and what it was but I think is was under Windows 7 in AppData folder in an AVG subfolder...

Use WindirStat to look for big files and folders.

Possibly temp folders, you should also disable system restore feature if you haven't done so already as that also uses up space if it's enabled for the drive.

Also make sure your desktop folder is redirected to your hard drive too.

Also make sure what ever browser you are using is not storing it's cache on your SSD.

Alternatively you can look at this guide if you need more help or ideas as to what it could be.

Windows 7 Ultimate Tweaks & Utilities

"This guide was written in 2009. With the 3rd generation of SSD's now in full production, many of these tweaks are not necessary. I am re-iterating that these tweaks are 100% optional, not required to use an SSD."

well my ssd is allready optimized, desktop folders are re-routed to storage drive , pagefile is turned off etc. Ive already followed that guide to the word. Just cant pinpoint whats eatin up the space I think it could be my browser I just have to take a peak at that.

Won't solve the problem, would actually make it worse.
That is software that cleanups temp folders. Can't see how you say it makes it worse. I have a SSD and use it to cleanup my drive.

So I re-routed browser and temp folders to the storage drive and oddly enough by some unexplained reason my paging file and system restore was turned on when i clearly remember turning them off, I think after I installed service pack 1 it turned itself on again.Anyways after sorting all that stuff out it cleared about 15GB of space on my SSD:D and its booting lightning fast into windows just like brand new;)

Treesize is a cool program that checks where space is used on a drive.

Move your page file to another drive & disable hibernation to free up lots of space on the SSD.

You can use CCleaner's Analyze function to check if the free space is being taken up by applications such as Firefox/Internet Explorer's Temporary Internet files, Memory/Crash Dumps, etc.

It makes it worse because deleting temp files won't solve the problem the OP is having. The temp files will just show up again as you have not provided a way to move them just to delete them.

It's also worrying that you use it on your SSD since you are wearing down the SSD by having your temp files on the SSD and deleting them all the time.

Writing and deleting files on the SSD is what you are supposed to try and prevent, not encourage it.

Cool good to hear, sounds like you have found the culprit.

It could be the painful winsxs folder in the windows directory that stores all old drivers etc. Mine has steadily grown to close to 10gb now. With not much you can do to reduce the size.

You do know that that is not really the size of that folder when you check the properties ???
Windows only displays the full size of all the files linked to the stuff inside the Winsxs folder (links) ... the actual size of winsxs is very small. ;)
the stuff that this folder links to, are all over within the OS.!

Hehe. This is why I moved my temp folder, temporary internet files, etc. to a RAM drive.
But ATM I'm using so much RAM that I'm in the process of upgrading from 16GB to 32GB of RAM! :D

I still have a small page file on my SSD, just because Windows doesn't like to go without one.
