I have recently purchased a new motherboard and CPU but have not re-installed windows yet. My PC now gets a BSOD when booting up windows, and im guessing its due to a driver conflict.

My Question is, are there any boot-time driver removal tools out there? Or is there any way I can resolve this issue on boot?

I have tried booting in safe mode, I still get the BSOD. I can however boot up with my WinXP boot OS DVD.

Last option is to re-install my OS, but I want to try anything I can before that.

Thanks!

If the old motherboard is still working, try plugging it back to the old motherboard and boot it up, then remove drivers and shutdown. Once done plug in the new motherboard and see if that helps?

If I am not mistaken booting off the Windows install disk, then selecting "Repair", should work

That's a great idea, would be quicker than re-installing windows
