Borderlands

Its too mmo'y. It has little atmosphere. Story line is useless. Too much of a grind fest. I guess co-op is fun though.
 
I did not even listen to the storyline... I just took whatever mission to wiff through. Finished it at level 33.
I like in depth story driven do whatever you want games, this wasn't it
 
I think a lot of you are missing the whole point to Borderlands

Its meant to be a non serious, full of fun, blast and kill everything you can, co-op game where you can just join in with a couple of mates whenever you want.

It also has this random weapon system which is really the hook factor for me in games like tis and diablo 2 . The need to always get something better, and never know what you can find in each chest, even on repeat play throughs, really keeps me there.

It was never designed as an RPG, its a shooter with some RPG elements to give a different flavour, and its a mad bunch of fun with mates online or LAN.

The story is very thin, but its purely there to get you to the next round of fun and chaos.

To look at it as a single player RPG story driven game is going to dissapoint you, merely because that is NOT what Borderlands is, or was ever trying to be.

Get some friends, play some co-op, and you WILL have fun. ;)

Game is too much fun! Just a shame I got Divinity 2 and Dragon age as well now so juggling the games becomes tiresome!

i love it, it is just ****ing awesome. action rpg via fps ftw. besides the cellshading is a nice touche over usual photo-realism wannabee games we get. now if only huxley would arrive....
 
This game is rocking, loving it. Been playing co-op for the last week. Lvl 31 Soldier :D
 
I think i made a mistake by co-oping with ppl who were way ahead of me in the game, hence my mission sequence is totally buggered.

e.g.

the blind man was both sitting outside talkin to me while he was hanging dead inside. LOL
 
It normally warns you if you are joining a game when the others are too far ahead ( Main story line wise, not really lvl related)

So its is advisable to check the plot/story progress before you join.

But this game is awesome :)
 
Saw your invite last night but think I pushed escape to read a menu, which effectively cancelled the invite,lol

hey , i just finish dl this game! :D i haven't been able to install it yet though - 2 HUGE exams monday and wednesday :'(

will I be able to play co-op online with local cap (local servers maybe)?

can't wait for wednesday when I get home! haha gonna BANG borderlands whoooo!
 
Listen I haven't played it but my gamer senses tell me this is an awesome game , better FPS with rpg elements(Boderlands) then RPG with fps elements(Fallout) , im the biggest rpg fan but i hate having to shoot someone in the head 10 times to kill them , and after all that 3rd person view fighting in all those RPG's I wanna let loose and blow **** up so this game will do just right.
