Borehole - earth on motor

Good afternoon,

I purchased a “Plug and Play” borehole kit (pump, motor, cable, and control box) with 220v three point plug however the earth wire supplied with a lug does not fit onto any of the bolts/studs on the motor housing. Can I just pinch it between then pump and motor housing, although then the two casings are not flush.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yea that should be fine, we normally did that
