My VW has these BOSCH AeroTwin/Flat wiper blades that are all but end of life. Replacing them entails buying a whole new wiper blade assembly at either a BOSCH stockist or from VW, at a cost of R493 a pair. This is what the wiper assembly looks like:

I've Goolged a bit and found that you can remove only the rubber blade from the assembly and swop it with another blade. The problem is, places like AutoZone and Midas shrug their shoulders when I present them with the rubber blade and ask for a replacement. The blade and construction, looks like this:

Anyone here know who might stock such a type of blade? If I can get a just the rubber blades instead of having to buy a whole new assembly, I can use the savings for a donation to charity or something :p

Phone Diesel-Electric and ask whether you can buy the blade separately. They will be able to point you in the right direction.

Went to GoldWagen in Potch and picked up 2 aftermarket blades that look exactly the same as the current ones for R190. The salesman said they have many blades with different fittings in stock, so one might get lucky in buying one that fits another make, other than VW.
