Gaborone - The Botswana government has warned South African tourism industry operators who have been accused of routinely calling locals “k****rs” that they will be charged with crimen injuria and deported soon after prosecution if they continued “degrading and impairing” the dignity of the Batswana.

Addressing tourism workers in the tourism capital of Maun in the north of the country, Labour and Home Affairs minister Edwin Batshu said as crimen injuria was a crime back home in South Africa, offenders should not expect to get away with it in Botswana.
 
Let's hope the bastards get tried and prosecuted and deported to Zimbabwe.

No one needs apartheid racists.

Geez but the locals in Botswana are free to call us "pigs"? Really rich coming from them, considering the amount of "pigs" over there providing employment to their folk.

Well these tour operators sure are thick,they should learn from the local MYBB racists,we have many of them here sprouting thinly veiled racism but they would never dare use that term as much as it burns them not to!:D

Never once heard the K word in Botswana, and I have spent a lot of time over there. 6 Months just last year, for work and holiday. Off again Sunday. Absolutely love that country and the people.

+100. Lovely country, lovely people and also very well mannered. I also travel there very often and have great respect for them.
 
Please don't export South Africa's bad habits.

When you are visiting your neighbors, it's polite to rather leave all your personal baggage at home.
 
It's all just hearsay so far. What is the fuss about? Yes, it is wrong, but no one has been prosecuted yet.
