Bought a game which doesn't work.. What now?

Hey guys,

I just decided to buy my first app from the app store .. Purchase and everything went well and the game downloaded, but when trying to open it, it just bombs out straight away and I have to force close it. I played the demo version and that was fine.

Have any of you had similar experiences of buying something that doesn't work, then getting a refund or a fix or something from the devs? How do I go about reporting it?

It's only like R10, so it's really not the end of the world, but still!

It's one of the areas where Android still hasn't quite discovered the golden mean - it was 24 hours, now it's 15 minutes. There are rumblings that it will be changed again in the near future.

As for the OP's problems - I'd suggest you make contact with the developer. If the problem can be fixed, you can simply download the update through the market as and when it's available.

Pity you didn't hit the refund button the moment you noticed it. I did that with a game I bought and didnt run. Hit refund and then mailed the Developer. He contacted me back got problem sorted and I bought it again.

Ouch just saw the comments under the game.... Let me guess you didn't before you hit bye?

Never updates
Problems with allot of handsets where the free version works.

It was an impulse buy -- I felt like trying to buy something on the new market! And it's only 10 bucks to I'm really not phased.. Was just looking forward to playing the full game so I'm mainly bummed about that!

By the way, where can I find this refund button? I only had the option to uninstall as far as I could see :/

If you buy via the market app or website, you just go back to the same app within the 15 min grace period and hit refund. It will be same place install and purchase options normally are.

It will auto uninstall from phone and you wont see any charges on your card.

Look on the bright side, now you know, and at the same time you might have helped someone else on the forum to not make the same mistake
