I saw there's a guy on the classifieds selling one with XBMC installed

Thanks bro, picked it up today. Great little gadget! Very intuitive, easy to set up sharing and streaming. Airplay works great. Playing with XBMC and AirVideo atm.

Still early days, but very impressed so far.

How was your experience of the Boxee in general?

Ok - there was also an issue where applications wouldn't install and you just have to keep trying... I just don't think our internet is designed for something like this.

If you want an integrated multi-room, multi-device solution (with playback persistance) check out Plex. Server runs on Win, OSX, Linux and clients avaliable for Win, OSX, Linux, IPad, Iphone, ATV2, GoogleTV, Android, Samsung & LG Smart TVs & BD players.

Seen it - but I've got XBMC running perfectly now - so not going to mess with it... thanks

I see there are a couple of places selling Boxee Box now. Also you can attached an external drive via USB and share with your network -so this might be a solution for those looking for more storage for their media libraries. You can read and write to the external drive.
