There are some good fights happening in the next few months.
In particular, have a look out for Mosley v Mayweather. I think that one will be on this coming weekend.
Should be a good one.
Speaking of which, who are the new upcoming heavyweight fighters to keep an eye on? I grew up watching boxing with my old man as a kid and somewhere along the line all those fighters got old and I stopped watching.
Short answer - there aren't any worthwile or 'decent' young HW's out there.
This is without a doubt the worst ever era in Heavyweight boxing history. The Klitchko brothers are head and shoulders(literally as well) above everyone else. David Haye looks to be the best of the rest.
Have a look at this list and tell me whether any of these(apart I suppose from the Klitchko bros) are recognizable names:
1. Vitali Klitchko/Wladimir Klitchko
2. David Haye
3. Alexander Povetkin
4. Ruslan Chagaev
5. Nikolay Valuev
6. Denis Boytsov
7. Chris Arreola
8. Eddie Chambers
9. Tomasz Adameck
10. Sam Peter
That polish guy at no.9 on that list has shown some promise, but the majority of his career has been at Cruiserweight. He's not bad though and certainly better than most of the miserable bunch of HW's out there.
