Braai / grill / cooking mat - does it work?

I'm sick 'n tired of cleaning the gas braai, especially when braaing for twenty people. Recently I came across a thing variously called a braai / cooking / grill mat or sheet.

Seems the ideal solution to easy braai cleaning.

Anyone used one? Does it work? Which are the better ones to get and which ones to avoid?

From what I believe you can use them on any type of fire

If someone eats your food at a braai and instantly dies, braai them.

all you need to do to clean the grid is stick in the flames until the stuff chars and falls off. Anything that is left is flavour.

I have used one of these before, it was very effective, I need to get one for our gas braai barbecue.

yup what i do, i start fire and put braai grid on for 10 minutes in flames.
then pick it up and drop it on the concrete floor
all the kak falls off and braai grid is ready to use again
