Brain drain at Telkom

Telkom recently released its financial results for the year ended 31 March 2018, which showed a big decline in headline earnings per share.

As a result of lower earnings and it struggling to hold on to its fixed-line customers, Telkom cut its annual dividend by 16% to R3.55 per share.

What a BS article. Telkom actually had good results. Their mobile side is up almost 50% and fibre to home not doing badly also up. They are doing a good job to position away from traditional land lines that is going the way of the dinosaurs.

This seems like someone who doesn't know anything about the business wrote this article. At least consult with someone that knows a bit about economics or business/accounting.

And the executives jumping ship because they didn't want the business to change is a good thing.

It's called "rats leaving the ship"... Just look at who the actual "rats" are!

Agree 100%. Just look at previous and current results. This change is more like the Swamp Drain trump promised DC.

A lot is changing at the organization and this is just the start.

I wasn't aware that Telkom had any executives... Effective ones that is. Those that they lost is inconsequential, they were just cheque collectors anyway.

im thinking of cancelling my Telkom accounts . last year my landline was off from October to January . this year its been off for the last two months and after numerous calls i have had no response and its still down . Telkom has really gone down hill .
