I've been pleasantly surprised by the oude meester demant. Not too pricey and really good.

Blauklippen 8yr is my current favourite.

The Blauklippen is absolutely brillant

I've been working my way through a set of Van Ryn's miniatures, and I'm afraid, I too, must agree with Pooky.

I like brandy, but I buy the cheapest and mix it with coke.

My dad and I cracked open the KWV 12yo. It's really good. I'd actually rate it over their 15yo, but that's just me

Having some KWV10 on the rocks. Must say I prefer it with Coke though.

I did a little shopping in and around Montagu over the weekend

Kingna 5y potstill
Hess reserve alambic 5y potstill
Kingna 12y potstill
Drie berge 5y potstill

Both the kingna brandies are very good. Owner gave us a really nice cellar tour. Drie berge if I understand it has a KWV source in there somewhere and is quite adequate. Bought the alambic blind.

Nice. Will look out for the Hess and Drie Berge.
