Can you taste it before you buy it?
Nope. He did say that it was not available to tasting (at the moment).

But, maybe this will change later on. Would make sense to have a coffee, brandy & chocolate pairing or something similar.
 
OK. This is something different. Trying to get my head around it. First Brandy that I've had make from Merlot grapes. A first in South Africa if not mistaken. Very smooth. Definetly something you would sip on after dinner. Going to have to revisit this again tomorrow "on a clean palate". But so far I'm pretty much enjoying it. The 38% ABV is gay though.

Lots of our SA older (fancier) brandies are bottled at 38%. Probably an attempt to make a "smoother" spirit.

38% is what you give your kids to warm them up before heading off to school in the morning..........
