Brandy lovers thread

Finally saw one. Some ones I've never seen before.

I am still kicking myself. Was in Oudtshoorn PnP and this was marked down to about R185 from R399. Still R349 at my PnP. The Groot Constantia alone is a R1000 bottle. So the sample is worth R100. The rest are practically free. Sobs.

My local P&P still has plenty of stock......at R349 each

Hopefully they'll get the message next week. Will have to keep on checking in with them.

Great price that for some excellent brandy
Yip mine as well hanging in there at 399. I hover like a vulture ... thirsty

I am not getting notifications that this thread is being updated, would have love to have gotten that samples at R120. And you get to try different brandies.

Just watch out for that sugarbird. Brandy infused with fynbos.
Maybe I should get that one out of the way then :)

The Joker.

A “Wild Card” brandy with something special up its sleeve. It is naturally sweet with flavours of pear, apple and raisin. This newcomer is infused with soft hints of hazelnut, caramel, vanilla and is ready to mix and be enjoyed.

It is created from a 5-year aged pot-still brandy that is them mixed with aged eau de vie which means that it is smooth enough to sip neat and to mix with your mixer of choice.

Definitely hazelnut...

There is a small chance that they might still have. Will look when I go that way.

From their website:

Unfiltered and raw. Created by our chief alchemist through a magical, scientific process. Aged for three years. 750ml.

Proudly South African, this Cape Alchemist Brandy is unfiltered and raw. It’s created by our Chief Alchemist through a magical, scientific process and aged for three years. This results in a soft, fruity expression with full-bodied fruitiness and nutty undertones. The finish is smoky, long-lasting and infinitely characterful.
