UPDATE at 12.30pm: Police helicopter has landed near the school.

UPDATE at 12.20pm: Officials from the Gauteng Department of Education are at Dowerglen High School.
Residents are advised to avoid the area surrounding Dowerglen High School this afternoon due to strong police presence.
It is believed that an “incident” occurred at the school earlier.

The designs of our schools don't really lend themselves to the american style of attack. Our schools are more open and difficult to pin people down.

If you have 3 or more people and you're able to pin them down at assembly you could probably rack up a kill count that'll make ISIS blush, but the lone wolf type of attack won't really - ermmm - succeed.

Nah. I had typed up some plans just now, but realized this is a public forum and putting it out there probably isn't a good idea. Suffice to say, it's not really hard to adapt insurgency tactics to the school yard.
