I'm currently stuck on the **** train that is iBurst, I really wanna move across to ADSL but I need to wait to see if my line is suitable for self install. I spoke to Telkom 1 week ago and they said it would take up to 2 weeks for them to test it and then possibly 4 weeks for a non-self install to happen.

If any Telkom employee can test my line and then set up my line or get me to the point where I can self-install within the next few days I will honestly bribe you and it would be a pretty decent amount.

If you can help or know anyone who can and would be willing to help please pm me.

Thanks.

oooooo

Dude I am pretty sure that if one of their guys saw this you would have a van there in 10 minutes! VIVA da new SA VIVA !!

@ RedhotNeo

I phoned their support desk asking about doing a self install and was informed that they need to test my line even tho I have already tested it online. Was the person behind the call just retarded or is there some other thing I need to test?

@McGuywer

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Do you see the irony in this?
Test your line online.... :sick:

I had to bribe to get my cable theft problem sorted out... there was simply no other way to get the service I desperately needed restored. Call it the new SA if you will, or call me a bad guy for supporting corruption - at the end of the day I would still be sitting without a phone line had I not done it. So what are the options? We have no choice but to stoop to such levels. As long as the "legal/official" road remains closed/blocked with congestion, people will take that parallel sand road of bribery to get to their destination. Real pity Telkom (and many other local companes) can't keep their highways of "good service" open to an easy journey by us customers :/
