Bridge mode

I'v got one of those marconi jobbies as my modem software from telkom.
How do i change to bridge mode in order to use p2p on my adsl ?
Or is there another way to enable p2p, and how ?

you need port forwarding for p2p not bridge mode. Google port forwarding...there a step by step guides for every router imaginable.

Bridge mode or port forwarding will work. Port forwarding is safer as you can forward specific ports. I think bridge mode forwards all ports.

Which modem is it?

IIRC, generally with Telkom Marconi modems, the port forward settings are found in NAS - Virtual Server.

^^ is right - bridge mode do forward all ports, and you're responsible for your own firewall.

I put my router into bridged mode, and use Smoothwall to filter out the bad packets
