Hey guys

Honda brio 1.2 comfort
4y/60k service plan
5y/200k warranty
145k

vs

Hyundai i10 1.1 motion
3y 45k service plan
7y/ 200k warranty
146k

What are your guys thoughts? Not sure if one is way better than the other not really a car guy.

Why not go for the one that has more protection for the driver?

Fiance prefers the look of the brio plus the hyundai guy has been a bit shady, what makes you choose the i10?

The i10 has a better build. Styling is subjective; most agree Brio is rather ugly.

Main reason for me preferring the i10 over Brio is the all glass tailgate on the Brio.

I dunno but I just prefer to be cautious about that design; in the long term does it hold up?

What if you get banged up the rear?

Is the Brio with the boot or without the boot.
You didn't mention.
If it is the hatch the boot is absolutely tiny.

The glass tailgate is also something I don't like. The 1.1 litre didn't come with ABS.

And ugly...
It has the worst looking ass ever!

OP: I would assume you are going for the normal i10 and not grand?
Grand or nothing :P

Then the i10.
Or look at an i20 for the same money.
i20 very good car.
Get a used i20 with about 20000km on clock for the same money.

My 2c, and this is looks aside since I don't like either of them is Brio. Might have been a bad example but the i10 I've driven and been driven in was pretty nasty. I suspect services and parts will be more expensive in the brio though...

she seem to want a brand new vehicle, i would also take low km's i20. Testing the brio now she tried the i10 yesterday , entry level i10 motion and not the grand.

I can honestly say the Brio is a good buy! I personally own one. Almost 2 years old currently on 45K KM, one thing I'm not sure is how can you get a service plan to 60k mine was only till 30K. The price for my 45k service was about 3K.

Fuel economy is a breeze, costs about R380 to fill up the tank and I drive from Pretoria to Sandton everyday with the aircon on and only have to fill up the next week. Can do about 540 km on one tank but I'm to scared to push it until the end.

Traffic in this car is a breeze, I drove down to Durban in January it took about two tanks to get there, uphill sometimes an issue but otherwise a great car. Very spacious inside not talking about the boot, that is just enough for a Laptop bag LOL

You should not forget about the 7 year/200 000km warranty on the Hyundai though.
