British Comedy TV

Think someone mentioned Black Books, very good show, from the creator of IT crowd. Only about 18 episodes in total though.

Oof, just had a look at IMDb. 3.4/10 is very poor for a David Jason show. I hadn't heard of it before now and I think I'll just keep it that way

It's not his fault - the writing is just totally rubbish, almost as bad as madam and eve.

Did you download this? I never looked because I thought it was too obscure to find, but I was talking about it with a Tunisian guy last week who loved it when he saw it ages ago. I'm at work just now and can't check the usual suspects, but a torrent would be excellent :)

Not sure about torrents, but it's available on Usenet :)

There are some comedies which are highly rated but just don't do it for me in a "I want to see every single episode and then watch it again' way.

Keeping Up Appearances
Vicar of Dibley
Father Ted
One Foot in the Grave
To the Manor Born

Then there's .... The Office.

Ricky Gervais is brilliant no, really brilliant - but I just can't watch him.

There really are office people just like him. Makes me cringe.

as dark as british comedy gets:

marion and geoff
!
be warned, it can be disturbing to watch... but SO funny

Yeah, I knew it :D

But I haven't looked at Usenet since I gave up my Easynet subscription when I moved to SA in 2004. My life now and my working away all the time means it aint happening any time soon either.

I agree 100%. It was a great series no doubt but has no repeat value for me mainly because of the cringeworthyness.

Vicar of Dibley and Father Ted on the other hand. Both brilliant and well worth repeat viewing.

Really love Coupling, always thought it's way better than Friends.

Got myself the Father Ted box set years ago, that Father Jack dude cracks me up even though he does not do much.

Another show I enjoyed was My Family.
