Maybe not strictly British, but it's BBC America. Pretty compelling watch and very different show.

The thin blue line's inspector Fowler (David Haig) features (but obviously not as inspector Fowler)

Was mentioned in other Series thread as well. I thought it was excellent and cannot wait for the next season. Also has a brilliant sound track.

Was good. My only gotcha is there are moments when you realise it's as much fantasy as Superman is fantasy... but easy to overlook.

"A Very English Scandal" with Hugh Grant is pretty good. Quick short series as usual.

I'm guessing Save (netflix series starring Dexter Morgan's actor) counts as Brittish. Watched the first 2 eps last night. So far lekker. Typical british type murder whodunnit-ish

It's "Safe"....but be that as it may.

I watched the first episode and fell asleep. Michael C. Hall's attempt at an English accent was appalling unfortunately and that also put me off. Doubt if I'll continue to be honest.

ag *** sorry, yes Safe.

I'm struggling to find things that my wife will watch with me... I tried convincing her to watch some subtitled stuff, but No!

She has given up on Westworld, Legion, Killing Eve. Working my way through Handmaid's tale and Safe for now... nfi what to put up next, and my list of shows to watch on my own time is just getting longer

grey's anatomy

but I'm still waiting for Billions to finish... so I'll probably watch that next, she likes that at least.

But on topic of British series, I loved (and so did she) Luther and The Fall.

I watched some of Fortitude, but can't remember why I stopped or if it's worth to go back to again.

The fall was pretty epic. What about:
Line of Duty
Last Tango in Halifax
Happy Valley

Yes yes yes!!!!!!!

Maigret is back on iTV3, in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, and at a time more convenient to watch, for me anyway. I'm no great fan of most of the characters Rowan Atkinson has played - I couldn't stand Mr Bean and am not crazy about Johnny English or Blackadder, but I absolutely loved the whole of The Thin Blue Line - but I think he's excellent in this role. It's difficult to know how I would've perceived it if the lead role had been played by some other, less prominent actor, but I had read a couple of Simenon's books way back in varsity and loved the quiet understatedness. The fact that Atkinson pulls it off so well is just a bonus.

Ta!

Just finished watching Hard Sun. Waste of my time. The whole thing was just unbelievable. From the characters to the fight scenes. Very depressing show too. 2/10 in my books. It had it's moments but it was a bit like real cop drama meets Dr who... bad fit lol.

I tried Hidden but it was slower than Zuma paying back the money. Plenty of scenes with English sub titles as they praat on in Welsh.
