Damn, I love Tenant and Morrisey's pretty funny but there's no way I'm watching a musical.

Blackpool is 6 hours long.

There are 20 'clips of them singing along to the original - most only a verse or two long - so around 45 minutes of music, 5 hours 15 minutes with no music.

Fast forward works ....

The Blues Brothers has more music and it's still not a musical.

But interestingly enough I loved "The Greatest Showman"...so there's that.

I deleted it halfway through S01E01...it's really, really bad.

And I normally love this kind of period drama.

the book it's based on is a satirical take on British colonialism, I think the series tried to stick to that same formula, which is why it comes across as it does.

I have a love for Singapore and it's history, to me this was more about the historical aspect, which they kept 100% accurate.

The storytelling is terrible in the sense of being unbelievable, but I'm watching it to the end... the characters aren't the worst.
As for the meaning of the term "Singapore grip". Really??? LMAO. The guy should have gone with another title.

I really love time period dramas normally, but from the fake cheer in S01E01 when

LOL, nothing wrong with SDTV when the story is worthwhile.
GIven I only watch most stuff once...

Doesn't look as good as 1080p on 4K TV.
Plus if you are only watching it once why not in the best pic that you can
