Broadacres down since 9/6/2015

No DSL / phone connectivity since Tuesday. Apparently an area wide fault and no feedback from Telkom what the cause of the issue is and what the ETR is.

Charl/TelkomZA has been a rockstar but I guess even his super-powers have its limits. Strangely enough the service went down the same day Telkom announced the retrenchment of 4000 staff - coincidence? I guess not.

I did. Several times. Today was a motorcade of Telkom cars outside our estate. Turns out that Johannesburg Water has damaged a Telkom line as well. So general confusion all round.

ADSL came back around 4pm this afternoon. I think Charles/TelkomZA did a great job trying to get some answers, but even he struggled to find out what was going on. Hopefully service levels will improve with Telkom, otherwise their future will be bleak.
