Broadband Alternatives

I stay in near hatfield in Pretoria and I am trying to organise some form of internet connectivity that will allow me to download a fair amount as well as Skype and the odd bit of gaming.

ADSL is out - No infrastructure in the complex.
iBurst is out - Speeds far too slow.
Amobia is out - No line of site to a tower.

Any one have any suggestions? Neotel WiMax is my next option.

Move to a place that has ADSL. When a place is being advertised as has 3 bedrooms, 1 en suite bathroom, 1 guest bathroom, 2 garages.... ADSL MUST BE INCLUDED in the house options or I wont even consider it!

Does 8ta not still have a 50gb special on their 3G dongles? Otherwise Vodacom or Cell C is your only bet. I think they have 20gb bundles or so on their 3G dongles. Thats your best bet...

I have learnt my lesson!

Not sure if 8ta has that special still. I will have a look and see. I am currently loading Vodacom data on my phone but it is getting a bit expensive when I run out of bundle half way through the month.
