Currently, there are some 130 000 ADSL users in South Africa, as against about 140-mil- lion worldwide.

This means that South Africa accounts for just over 0,09% of global ADSL users, but this country represents almost 0,9% of the global economy (in purchasing-power parity terms).
Can someone from government please explain why this is?

Just imagine what our % would be in terms of PPP if we had broadband...no use going on and on and on bout broadband coz I doubt we'll have anything decent anytime soon

From that statistic SA's ADSL users should be 1000% more than what it is now. Fcuking Telkom.

Shame man..Telkom increased the price by 1000% by mistake instead of it's customer base..someone should tell them:rolleyes:
