Hi,

Anyone got contacts for a nice Account Manager at Broadband Infraco?

Will appreciate it - please PM me

Lol! :D Sadly definition of "nice" will be - someone that actually 1) know they are working for Broadband Infraco, 2. Understand what it is Broadband Infraco does, 3. Deserved his/her position - got appointed because they are capable and 4. Most important - do their job!

If that makes sense? ;)

PS: Most people that work at Broadband Infraco don't 'really' know what it is they do <- Fact ;)

Visit their website and pretend to be a new client - ask those questions and tell me what you think! ;) This is of course if you are bored enough :)

Also still had no luck... Seriously staff get crazy pay for doing nothing, actually for being useless

Do these guys actually own their own fibre between towns and city's?

Hi eddief, everything is always extremely vague with them, but according to "them" yes they own their own infrastructure and have presence in all major towns/cities and some smaller towns

Yes BBI do own some of their infrastructure and have laid their own fibre routes. BBI used to lease/ have long term access to Eskom fibre infrastructure on power lines, as well as capacity along the major railway lines.

They are a service wholesaler that should be able to deal with licenced Telecom Operators and possibly ISPs.

The idea was that Telkom and BBI would merge but I understand the negotiations are not going well, and may have been abandoned. Both now sort under DTPS

BBI was/is a major backbone provider to Neotel in some areas. In those areas, you may find you cannot deal with BBI direct but have to deal with Neotel ....

Sounds like a great asset they have which is being wasted to some extent. I don't know if they have updated coverage maps but they run right past our small sleepy town and would be great to see what they offer. There is a great need here for an alternative to Telkom MetroE.

We managed to come right with them, pricing is good.

In order process now... Will revert once everything is up and running
