broadband on the go?

Hello all.

I need to get broadband on the go, to use in Cape Town, Jo'burg and some other places. I am currently looking at MyWireless, as well as MTN and Vodacom 3G data cards. Problem is that none of the MTN shops I have been to could give me info on when MTN will provide a card and bundle offer like that of Vodacom. Any help would be great thanks.

You better off with the cellular networks because they have better coverage and offer you better customer care

Obvioulsy the answer will be to use Vodacom's 3G network but there are some compelling reasons:

1) Firstly, Vodacom or MTN 3G is more mobile than MyWireless or IBurst which can be considered more 'nomadic'.
2) Secondly, the Vodacom 3G coverage is currently vastly greater than MTN.
3) Thirdly. the Vodacom data bundles are currently more 'tunable' than MTN.
4) Lastly, as Tahir indicated, the mobile operators have a better handle on support, it seems.

Taken the above into account, if you truely need to be mobile and will work in many different locations, I'd suggest you look at the Vodacom 500MB package that includes a data card at R350 / month to start with. You can then upgrade it to a bigger package, if needed.

Not so sure about that one, I'm having serious network problems for more than 3 weeks now and it does not seems if they can fix it. Even Telkom would be able to fix with in 3 weeks.

It is obviously regretable that your 3G experience is a bad one, however v3g has escalated it, had you been dealing with either Sentech or WBS you would not even get a response from those companies at all...
