I have scanned the forum, and although there are a number of options available, each have its own issues. I work from home (3 others) and basically need internet 24/7. Yet, every few months internet is down for a week or two.

So I would like to investigate viable options to provide us with internet as required. I would prefer something that would allow LAN support, but if need be I can swap a dongle around between PC's (if going for HSDPA - Vodacom, MTN or Cell-C).

I have a Vodacom account with 2 internet bundles, and know their issues. Vodacom is also offering the same package deal as Cell-C now. I have read about WiMax, and a few other options. Each with their own issues.

We are keeping the ADSL. When it works it works well. Yet when it is not working I go crazy. Then I want to bring out the other option, rest of the time it will be gathering dust in the cupboard.

Use two different ISPs, one that uses seacom and one that uses sat3/safe and have a mobile router as backup.

I'm sort of in the same situation, we are 2/3 working from Home..
Telkom ADSL line with MWEB 384 AllInclusive Package ... Dog slow and Intermittent Connection, downgraded from 512 witch was virtually the same slowness and intermittent connection..Weird to say Intermittent connection with an ADSL line in the same sentence.

Our MTN 3G Phone's has a more stable yet expensive connection and blazing fast speed..

Agree with diversifying seems this is the only stable way to get a connection..
Now to do some research on which uses what..

1st Step for me would be to cut AllIclusive and make it ISP + Telkom ADSL Line..
Another option was to switch to a Cheap MTN/Vodacom 3G option via MWEB, keeping Mail addresses & account.
Then to add an CellC/Neotel connection of some sort.. Not keeping all the egg's in one basket so to say.
