Has anyone else had problems over the last two weeks with OpenRouter?

For various sites, including Google, it thinks the page is local and redirects you to a MWEB "cap run out" landing page http://landingpages.mweb.co.za/MWEBADSLCappedPage/tabid/936/Default.aspx).

If you check the "localhosts_ZA.dat" file, you see that many international sites are being added to it.

If you close the app, clear browser history, delete that file, reopen the app, then it works for a few minutes and then dies again.

And it is blocks access to really crucial sites, eg Google!!

Anyone manage to fix this problem???

Thanks for any help! :)

The MWEB Landing page works by resolving any hostname to that landing page IP, so it doesnt matter if you're using routesentry or a proxy (that isnt set to resolve), you'll still always land up there.

In order to get past that, just use a custom SAIX DNS Server such as 196.43.1.11 or 196.25.1.11 if you're in cape town

nope....

Thanks for the help, but I tried it and it doesnt seem to work. :(

Why is OpenBrowse not just resolving these IPs itself? I thought thats what it is supposed to do.... Is it handing over some IPs for the ISP to resolve?

Anyone actually fix this??
