Broken Touchpad - Need to dowonload data

Hi peeps,

I have an old Onyx Iris 8.0 Tablet, my 5-year-old daughter used to use it as her own personal VLOG :)

She dropped it the other day, and the touchpad cracked. The LCD is fine, but you cannot interact with the device.

I desperately want to download all the memories she created on it, but i am not able to unlock the Tablet, nor can i enable debugging.

Is there ANY way i can control this device from my PC?
 
Can they not work via mouse & keyboard?
Surely these things must have a recovery mode where you hold down a volume button etc at power on to gain access?

if i am unable to recover.. which would be extremely sad..... what can i do with the hardware?

can i flash another OS on there?

Does a mouse plugged into a usb-otg cable not let you work the device?
